Halfway

We're just passed the halfway mark of the Cat Portrait Stitch Along. A good moment to share my progress of my embroidery of Tijger. I just learned that Tijger (Dutch for 'Tiger') was a Mackerel Tabby but I guess most people would refer to her fur pattern as 'Tiger Stripes'. I'm trying to get as many details of Tijger's fur colour and pattern into the portrait as I can which makes work on her portrait a bit slow. Still I'm not unhappy with the progress so far ... If you want to have a peek at some of the other cat portraits in progress you can do so here. It's not too late to join in the Stitch Along if you feel inspired! In a few weeks time there will even be some really lovely prizes for a few lucky people who post a photo of their cat-broidery in the Cat Portrait Stitchalong Flickr group. And if you need some tips and tricks to make your own Cat Portrait you might be interested in my Cat Portrait Stitch Guide!
